Dubai Duty Free sales rose 27% in August over the same month last year, and are running 19% ahead of 2002 sales to date this year

Dubai Duty Free sales rose 27% in August over the same month last year, and are running 19% ahead of 2002 sales to date this year. Sales in August were Dh111m ($30m), bolstered by strong performances in electronics and fragrances and cosmetics, where growth is around 25% compared to the first eight months of last year. The operator's arrivals business also helped boost overall performance, with arrivals duty-free sales up 38% year to date and 42% in August alone.
