Dubai Duty Free set to break daily sales record on 21st anniversary

20-Dec-2004

The retailer predicts today's (December 20) sales will break the $2m barrier as it offers a 21% discount on several products to mark its 21st anniversary

Dubai Duty Free (DDF) anticipates today's (December 20) sales will surpass the $2m daily record set last Friday (December 17) as it celebrates its 21st anniversary. The retailer is offering a 21% discount on several products throughout the day to mark the occasion, and expects daily sales well above the same day last year, when it achieved sales of $1.9m.

French beauty house Guerlain will be donating the equivalent of its daily sales at Dubai International airport to the Dubai Duty Free Charitable Foundation, set up last year in recognition of the retailer's 20th anniversary. DDF will also be holding Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draws to celebrate its anniversary.
