Dubai Duty Free has signed a comprehensive agreement with Tejari.com, the leading Middle East online B2B marketplace. The deal enables Dubai Duty Free to make significant improvements in the management of its supply chain. In addition the timing is ideal for the operator which is posting record monthly sales since moving into the new 5,400sq m (58,104sq ft) facility at the Sheikh Rashid terminal.

New items for the increased product range can be sourced immediately online from Internet catalogues made available by suppliers, through Tejari. Dubai Duty Free can also participate in the global online auctions operating on Tejari.

"Dubai Duty Free is committed to offering the widest range of high-quality products at the best prices," said DDF managing director Colm McLoughlin.

"Our operation with Tejari.com will give us instantaneous access to a global market and a reduction in our buying costs by moving away from paper-based systems'" he said.
