Dubai Duty Free offers 24% off on anniversary

The retailer continues its tradition of celebrating its anniversary, on December 20, with big discount days

Dubai Duty Free (DDF) is hoping for another record sales day later this week when it celebrates its twenty-fourth anniversary by offering a 24% discount on a wide range of products. The discount will apply on December 20.

The anniversary day has traditionally provided strong sales for DDF. Last year it generated sales of $8.2m, and managing director Colm McLoughlin said that he anticipated even higher sales this year. He said: “The anniversary discount offer, which began with DDF’s twentieth anniversary in 2003, proved to be so popular that we have decided to continue this offer once again this year. We see this as our way of saying thank you to our customers who have helped DDF to achieve such fantastic sales results over the years.”

DDF’s sales for 2007 are running at 26% higher than 2006, and the retailer said it is on track to achieve annual sales in excess of $850m.
