Dubai Duty Free lands Business Traveller award

Dubai Duty Free landed one of the industry's top awards today when it was named 'Best Duty Free Shopping' at the prestigious Business Traveller Middle East Awards ceremony held at the Emirates Towers Hotel

It is the second year in succession that Dubai Duty Free has won the award.

Business Traveller is a sister magazine to Duty-Free News International and Travel Retailer International, and is the best-selling business travel magazine in the world with separate editions for the UK, US, Germany, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Dubai Duty Free came top of a readers' survey conducted by the magazine.

Held to coincide with the Arabian Travel Market, the awards ceremony was attended by top travel executives where the awards were presented by famous international chef Anton Mosimann.

Commenting on the award, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who is president of the Department of Civil Aviation, said: "Business executives are discerning travellers and therefore winning this category for the second consecutive year is particularly rewarding for Dubai Duty Free."

Dubai Duty Free managing director Colm McLoughlin collected the award and said: "We are delighted to once again accept the Business Traveller Middle East Award for 'Best Duty Free Shopping'.
