Dubai Duty Free expresses delight at winning industry award

Dubai Duty Free has said its achievement in picking up the Raven Fox Award for Middle East Travel Retailer of the Year highlights the success of its new shopping complex and the dedication of its staff.

Commenting on the award, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum (pictured, right) president of the Dubai Department of Aviation said: "This award reflects the comments of industry professionals and suppliers alike, and as such, is extremely rewarding. With the opening of the Sheikh Rashid Terminal, Dubai Duty Free has witnessed a remarkable year in terms of sales, while the operation is continuing to set industry standards."

Dubai Duty Free managing director Colm McLoughlin (pictured, left), who was at the TFAP show in Singapore to receive the award, said: "The Raven Fox Awards have been established for four years and are becoming increasingly important in measuring significant developments within the international travel-retail industry.

"This award highlights the success of the new shopping complex, which is entirely due to the hard work and dedication of Dubai Duty Free's 900 staff," he added.
