The Middle Eastern retailer is among the sponsors of a major new sight restoration initiative, Seeing is Believing

Dubai Duty Free was one of the flagship sponsors celebrating World Sight Day yesterday (October 13), following the retailer's support for the Seeing is Believing campaign which aims to restore sight to a million people worldwide. The programme brings together Sight Savers International, Orbis and other members of Vision 2020, the international organisation striving to eliminate avoidable blindness.

Last night Dubai Duty Free and friends in the industry attended a cocktail reception in London's Royal Academy of Arts, hosted by HRH the Countess of Wessex. Guests at the reception heard how the Seeing is Believing programme and its sponsors throughout the corporate world are helping to restore sight to people in many of the world's poorest countries, including Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nigeria, India and Pakistan.
