One of the industry's most progressive executives accepts a challenging post overseeing the Indian domestic market

Nestlé International Travel Retail (NITR) general manager Stewart Dryburgh has confirmed that he will leave the post at the end of the year to take on the role of Nestlé India general manager. Dryburgh, who takes up the post in Delhi from January, told RavenFox.com that a replacement would be sought from within Nestlé's global business.

Dryburgh added that he believed the confectionery category in travel-retail still has the potential to get even bigger if more retailers gave it the space it deserved. "At the moment the industry has islands of excellence, not continents," he said.

NITR deputy general manager Iain Harrison will take over Dryburgh's responsibilities until a permanent successor is appointed.

"Another opportunity appeared earlier than I anticipated, and in many ways I am sad to be leaving travel-retail," said Dryburgh. "It is a great environment to work in and I have been lucky to work with a great team and great customers."
