Douglas Crossing Duty Free has nearly completed a 3,000sq ft (279sq m) temporary outlet at British Columbia's Douglas Crossing. President Michael Beler told TRW he hoped the outlet, which will be replaced with a permanent structure next year, would open in the first week of November.
The temporary store will offer liquor, tobacco, confectionery and a limited selection of fragrances and gifts. Beler said he expects a permanent shop to be in operation by early next year. The 25,000sq ft (2,320 sq m) store will offer an extended range of traditional duty-free fare and luxury goods, with shop-in-shop concepts from several high-end suppliers, said Beler.
