Domodedovo anticipates strong summer

A strengthened charter programme is set to boost traffic at Moscow?s privately-owned international airport

Moscow's Domodedovo airport is expecting charter passengers using the airport this summer to grow by 20% compared with the same period last year, with 11,500 flights carrying ovr 2.2m passengers.

In a press release airport operator East Line revealed that four debut carriers? Hamburg International, Omskavia, UTair and Tatarstan?would boost its charter operations, which serve five CIS routes and 62 destinations beyond the region.

Dufry is the principal duty-free operator at Moscow Domodedovo airport, which has seen strong passenger growth over the past two years as airlines have switched routes from cross-town rival Sheremetyevo.
