The elliptical Bar 5 will offer travellers a range of 12 exclusive cocktails inspired by air travel

Diageo and World Duty Free (WDF) have revealed the name, look and drinks list for their new cocktail bar at London Heathrow airport terminal five. Bar 5, an 8m (26ft) long elliptical bar, will be located within the main WDF store and will offer a range of exclusive cocktails inspired by air travel.

The drinks menu includes 12 specialist cocktails, with names such as Aeronaut, Final Call and Green Light, served by specialist staff who will also offer advice on what to drink before flying. Two non-alcoholic cocktails—Clear Skies and Zero Turbulence—will also be available.

Diageo global travel and Middle East managing director Ron Anderson said: “This cocktail bar and the extensive product offer epitomises Diageo’s vision of the future of travel-retail, centred on amazing experiences for shoppers and travellers. The bar has been designed to such a high standard that we are confident travellers will enjoy a truly unique experience.”

WDF managing director Mark Riches added: “With just a few days to go before T5 opens, the final touches to our stores are being put in place. Diageo’s cocktail bar is another example of how these new stores are going to look, sound and feel completely different.”
