Drinks company Diageo has donated €50,000 ($64,665) to the ETRC's fund so it can continue to lobby issues related to the security rules for carry on liquids and gels
Diageo has pledged 50,000 ($64,665) to the European Travel Retail Council s (ETRC) fund to help it address matters related to the security rules on carry on liquids and gels. The news follows Dufry Groups 50,000 donation yesterday.
ETRC president Frank OConnell asked each company that attended the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes last month to donate 3,000 ($3,889) to its fund, but pointed out we will need more. He told exhibitors: Our success to date has saved hundreds of millions in sales. It is essential that everyone supports this because the whole industry will benefit.
