Debt-ridden Sriwani announces duty-free focus

Malaysian operator Sriwani Holdings has announced its intention to focus on its duty-free business in an attempt to pull the company into the black by the third quarter of 2003

At an extraordinary general meeting held earlier this week the company, which registered losses of M$94.2m ($24.8m) last year, told shareholders and local media that it had implemented a cost-cutting scheme that included the sale of its non-core operations, including property development.
