Davitt to leave Raven Fox
The long-serving executive editor of DFNI is to leave Raven Fox in April
Long-serving Duty-Free News International executive editor Dermot Davitt is to leave the magazine in April after nearly 10 years with publisher Raven Fox. Davitt will take up a post with The Moodie Report.
DFNI editor John Rimmer said: "We are very sad to see Dermot leave DFNI after almost a decade of loyal service to the magazine. He has been a popular and highly professional member of our team, and has been a very good friend to me personally. I wish him well in the future.
"With Dermot's help we've been able to build a team of travel-retail journalists that is unrivalled in its scope and authority. At DFNI we will continue to report on the industry with impartiality, independence and commitment. Myself and my team are determined to build on the standards our magazine has set since 1987."
Davitt joined Raven Fox as a graduate trainee in 1996, taking the post of editor in 1998. He was replaced by John Rimmer in October 2004 but continued working for the magazine on a freelance basis.
