The retailer has become the inaugural Asia/Pacific Travel Partnership Symposium's premium sponsor while CEO Ed Brennan is to present his views on the retailer-resort dynamic in a keynote address

The Symposium, organised in collaboration with the Pacific Asia Travel Association and supported by the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association, will be the first industry event to explore the relationship between all parties in the chain serving travelling consumers.

In his presentation, The Retailer-Resort Dynamic, Brennan will address the Symposium's theme, Optimising the Travelling Consumer Experience, and provide an insight into DFS's developing partnership with Las Vegas Sands Corp. The relationship is an example of how travel retailers and developers are shaping the landscape of Macau as it becomes the entertainment capital of Asia/Pacific.

Accor Hotels Group CEO for Greater China and senior vice-president Asia/Pacific Brian Deeson has confirmed his participation in a panel session entitled Measuring the Low-Cost Effect Across the Travel Chain, chaired by Alpha Asia managing director Paul Topping. Macy's West director visitor services Rosemary Nightingale will share her experience on how to partner with internet booking companies, transport services, hoteliers and spas to drive consumers into stores.
