DFS Venture Singapore is set to win a tender for a wine concession at Singapore Changi airport terminal two’s departure/transit lounge central. The company was the only bidder for the 98sq m (1,054sq ft) outlet, and offered two options to the airport authority: one for a wine-only concession and one for a wine and cigars outlet.
If allowed to sell only wines at the store, the retailer will pay an additional rental of either 12% of total monthly gross sales (tmgs) or a minimum monthly guarantee (mmg) of S$35,000 ($25,500), whichever is higher. However, if the shop sells wines and cigars, DFS has offered an additional rental of the highest of either 12% of tmgs or an mmg of S$40,000 ($29,190).
Last year DFS Venture Singapore was also the only bidder for the wine and cigars concessions at Changi T3, which opened in March.
