The retailer is starting its operations at Mumbai with an arrivals outlet, to be followed by departures stores in the next few days

GVK-led consortium Mumbai International Airport Private Limited (MIAL) has announced the opening of the arrivals duty-free area operated by DFS Group at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International (CSIA) airport terminal 2C, marking the retailer’s first opening at the airport. In the first stage of opening, the shops will offer liquor, tobacco, fragrances and food products to arriving passengers. The roll-out to cover the departures area in the international terminal is expected to continue over the next few days.

DFS was awarded the duty-free contract at CSIA as the second highest bidder after MIAL cancelled its contract with ITDC-Aldeasa.
