DFS appoints managing director in Hawaii

Kay Murfin has been named as managing director DFS Hawaii

Kay Murfin is to join DFS Hawaii as the new managing director from April 9. Her new role will be based in Honolulu and she will report to president worldwide store operations and business development Mark Daley. Murfin will oversee DFS Group’s travel-retail operations in Hawaii, including the duty-free concession at Honolulu international airport and the Galleria in Waikiki.

Kay Murfin has over 30 years of retail experience, including 15 years in the retail division of The Walt Disney Company.

DFS group chairman and CEO Edward Brennan said: "Kay Murfin is a retail veteran who understands the global nature and unique challenges of our business. I’m confident she will be a valuable addition to our management team and will play an important role in the continued success of our operations in Hawaii."
