DFNI will be able to reveal the exact sum raised for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin later this week after a well-supported Charity Ball on February 29

DFNI would like to offer its warm thanks to all those who attended and supported the DFNI Charity Ball held on February 29 in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Dublin. A great night of fun and fundraising was boosted by a particularly successful auction, thanks to the generosity of bidders and donors, and some additional donations made on the night.

TFWA, which had already donated a package to TFWA Asia Pacific at the auction as well as booking a table at the dinner, pledged a further £5,000 ($9,925) to the charity on the night. McArthurGlen Luxury Retail, whose chairman Brian Collie was one of the biggest bidders of the night, also pledged a further £5,000. And King Power Group (Hong Kong), a long-time supporter of the DFNI Charity Ball beneficiaries, promised £3,000 ($5,995) to the charity just before the night.

With the strong support of the travel-retail industry, DFNI feels confident that it has raised enough funds to cover the project it has undertaken for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, which was so well explained on the night by paediatric heart consultant David Coleman.

DFNI will announce the final sum raised after working out the night’s takings, and a pictorial review of the night will also be published on DFNIonline. Meanwhile all at DFNI would like to thank those who gave so generously in time and money to attend and support the Ball.
