Aelia and Aéroports de Paris joint venture Société de Distribution Aéroportuaire and L’Oréal Luxury Products International win three awards each

The 2007 edition of the DFNI Product Awards honoured the companies with the best new products, the best new stores and the best marketing initiatives in a record-breaking 28 categories. Aelia and Aéroports de Paris (AdP) joint venture Société de Distribution Aéroportuaire’s (SDA) new stores at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport satellite terminal S3 and L’Oréal Luxury Products International were the big winners with three awards each, while Gebr Heinemann and Estée Lauder Travel Retailing received two top accolades each.

Commenting on SDA’s success, Aelia CEO Jean-Baptiste Morin said: “While it is the customer who passes the most important judgment on any new store, we are delighted that our work at the S3 terminal has been recognised in this way. Sales since the opening of the S3 satellite have been very encouraging and we are confident of an excellent first full year of trading. Our success at S3 is also a tribute to the efforts of AdP, our partners in SDA. We have a busy year ahead of us, with the re-opening of terminal 2E at CDG and the completion of important renovation work at Orly. The recognition of the work accomplished with AdP in S3 is a timely boost and enables us to look ahead to 2008 with great confidence.”

Nuance-Watson regional managing director for North Asia Alessandra Piovesana, whose company won the Best New Watches Store for The Atrium at the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel, said: “We are delighted to win this award, especially since it goes to our first operation outside Hong Kong. I wish to thank the brands to have placed trust in this new initiative for their cooperation and the entrepreneurial spirit they put into this new partnership. I trust that the store performance and the customers’ satisfaction will prove this initiative to be a rewarding one also in the future.”
