The 13 main auction lots will offer luxury, leisure and money-can’t-buy opportunities to the highest bidders

Desert safaris, bespoke tailoring and VIP Formula One experiences are among the main prizes to be auctioned at the DFNI Charity Ball, which will take place on February 29 at the Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel. The 13 main auction lots will offer luxury, leisure and money-can’t-buy opportunities to the highest bidders, whose generous offers will benefit the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Dublin.

A Rolex Oyster Perpetual ladies watch worth £3,400, donated by Aer Rianta International-Middle East and Bahrain Duty Free, and a diamond valued at £16,000, available with the help of Robert Lincoln, will also be auctioned on the night.

For those seeking travel and adventure, the prizes on offer include: a weekend at Gleneagles donated by Diageo; a trip for two to Singapore for the TFWA Asia Pacific and Gate One2One events, courtesy of TFWA; a Tallinn spa break for two departing from Stockholm, including flights from London, donated by Tallink/Silja and Estonian Air; a shopping spree at the Serravalle Designer Outlet in Italy, including €1,000 in vouchers, courtesy of McArthurGlen Luxury Retail; a Dubai desert safari tour, complete with three nights in a five-star hotel and a belly dancing show, donated by Dufry Group; a full package for two to the November 2008 Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup, including invitations to play in the golf tournament, courtesy of Dubai Duty Free; and two VIP tickets to the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, allowing the winners to access the paddock area and meet the drivers, donated by Hugo Boss.
