DFASS plans wine store at Los Angeles

Inflight retail specialist Duty Free Air and Ship Supply (DFASS) is planning to open a duty-paid wine store at Los Angeles airport, as part of its push into airport retail
The store is still at the design stage and will be operated as a sub-contract to WH Smith, along with several other gift stores in the Tom Bradley International terminal (DFNI December 1 2002).
There are two-and-a-half years remaining on WH Smith's gift contract at Los Angeles, with the option of a two-year extension. In total DFASS is to operate nine speciality stores on behalf of WH Smith.

Leading inflight concessionaire Duty Free Air and Ship Supply (DFASS) has made its first move into airport retail in the US, where it is to operate nine speciality gift stores at Los Angeles International airport (LAX). DFASS will act as a sub-contractor to WH Smith, whose gift concessions it will take over subject to approval by the board of the LAX airport authority.
