Cyprus Airways reaps rewards of duty-free focus

Cyprus Airways has announced strong growth in 2002 on the back of an impressive performance from its duty-free division

The airline's profit almost quadrupled to C£10.7m ($19.8m), with a 7.2% increase in turnover (to C£55.3m/$102.4m) for associated company Cyprus Airways Duty-Free Shops providing a C£7.1m ($13.1m) share of the carrier's profits.
