25-Oct-2004

Cotton Traders has opened a landside outlet at Birmingham International airport

This is the leisurewear brand's sixth UK airport store, and the supplier hopes that the new store's position landside at terminal one will attract new consumers as well as existing customers. The store will offer a range of casual wear in addition to Cotton Traders' selection of rugby apparel.

Birmingham International Airport head of commercial market development Ray Savage said: "We are delighted to welcome Cotton Traders to the airport. It is a popular lifestyle brand with an extensive product range and appeal that adds choice and depth to the shopping experience."

Best known for their rugby shirts, Cotton Traders was established in 1987 by former England rugby captains Fran Cotton and Steve Smith.

The company's retail director Nick Hamblin said: "We are confident that the store will become a valuable part of the shopping experience at Birmingham airport."
