Cotton Traders doubles airport retail business

14-Feb-2004

The leisurewear firm, part-owned by England rugby legend Fran Cotton, is to open outlets at two UK airports

Leisurewear label Cotton Traders is to open two more UK airport stores, at Bristol and Birmingham airports. The landside outlets, to be opened in April, will each be around 700sq ft (65sq m) and double the company's airport retail portfolio.

The stores will offer a similar range of rugby shirts and leisurewear to its outlets at Manchester airport (landside terminal one) and Gatwick (landside South terminal). Retail director Nick Hamblin told TRW that existing stores were performing well, and that the company's products were well-suited to travel-retail.

?Airport trading has proven to be very successful for Cotton Traders,? said Hamblin. ?The relaxed atmosphere of the airport retail environment complements the values of the Cotton Traders brand and is a good fit with our mail order customers who travel frequently.?
