Copenhagen Airports A/S has signed a six-year contract with Gebr Heinemann. The retailer will take over the airport's large central tax-free store from March next year

Heinemann takes over from The Nuance Group, which has run the concession since 1995.

"We are very pleased with Copenhagen Airport's decision," said Gunnar Heinemann of Gebr Heinemann.

Copenhagen Airports said, "In competition with other international tax-free operators, Gebr Heinemann KG submitted the overall most attractive bid for the concession. In addition to the financial aspects, Copenhagen also looked at the quality of the various proposals in terms of shop design, product range and service concepts."
