Copenhagen airport debuts design festival
15-Aug-2002
Copenhagen Airports is introducing a special focus on Scandinavian design from August 9 to September 22 at a design festival featuring the work of famous Danish architects and designers
For the festival, architects Tom Lundberg and Stig Marvits will integrate modern and classic design works into the surroundings of the airport. Copenhagen Airports ceo Niels Boserup commented, "At Copenhagen airport we have always focussed on integrating art and design in the general interior design. Passengers may not think about it all that much, but I have no doubt that it has a favourable effect on how people experience spending time at Copenhagen airport."
Copenhagen Airports has published a design magazine for the festival featuring products for sale in the airport and in the city.
