Specialist electronics retailer Tracks & Take-Off Multitronics is opening its first non-airport outlets as Multitronics-branded stores at two of London's busiest rail termini: Victoria and Liverpool Street stations. The Victoria outlet (pictured) has been trading since December and the Liverpool Street store is due to open in early March.

Take-Off Multitronics commissioned CIL International and Portland Design to design and install the Sabre merchandising system for the stores. Last year Victoria and Liverpool Street handled 110.6m and 123.8m visitors respectively. The profile of passengers to other visitors had a ratio of 80:20 for Victoria and 60:40 for Liverpool Street.

Take-Off Multitronics' manager business development Thom Rankin commented: "We see it as an extension to travel-retail. They are full concept stores with some additions to the airport collection for regular customers but with no software, only hardware and accessories."
