Competition fierce for 2007 Asia awards

This year's shortlist for the Raven Fox Awards for Travel Retail Excellence in Asia/Pacific reflects fast-paced expansion within the region

Votes have been counted for this year’s Raven Fox Awards for Travel Retail Excellence in Asia/Pacific, with the shortlist reflecting the rapid pace of development in one of the world’s most dynamic travel-retail regions.

The contenders for Best New Shop Opening of the Year reflect the broad range of companies and developments under way in the region. Valiram Group’s ambitious expansion beyond Malaysia has been rewarded with a place in the shortlist, as has NAA Retailing’s large-scale retail programme at Tokyo Narita airport terminal two. They compete against King Power International Group (Thailand), which suppliers have voted among the best new retail operations in the region.

The awards will be presented at an awards ceremony during the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition, at the theatre, level two, Suntec Centre, Singapore on Wednesday May 16. All visitors to TFWA are invited to attend the ceremony, which will be preceded by a cocktail reception at 6.45pm.
