Commercial turnover up by 9% at Zürich airport in October

Airside sales register dramatic increase of 14.3% while landside turnover grows only 2%

Airport authority Unique has reported an increase of 9% to SFr37.9m ($33.6m) in total sales at Zürich airport for October compared with the same month in 2006. Year-to-date turnover at the airport has grown 10.4% to SFr356.9m ($317.2m), while landside sales registered a 2% rise in October and airside sales were up by 14.3% over the same period. The overall turnover per departing passenger grew 0.4% to SFr39.05 ($34.69) last month.

 

Passenger traffic for October has also risen by 8.6% to 1.94m compared with the same month last year. Year-to-date passenger growth is at 7.6%.
