London Luton airport commercial director Marcus Balmforth has left the company, following a strategic review of the airport's operations. He had been commercial director for two years.

In March, Luton's majority shareholders sold their equity stake to airports group TBI, prompting a review of the business.

Luton airport managing director Paul Kehoe said: "We would like to thank Marcus for his commitment and important contribution to the airport. He has established a sound base on which the airport, under new ownership, can now build."

Balmforth said: "I am delighted to have been able to turn Luton into a successful airport business which I am sure will flourish in TBI's capable hands.
