The airport authority expects commercial revenue to represent half of its total income by 2010

Airport authority Malaysia Airports Holdings (MAHB) expects commercial activities, including retail, to represent 44% of the group’s revenue for 2007, equivalent to Rm580m ($177.4m), according to the Business Times newspaper. This would correspond to a 2% increase in commercial revenue’s share of sales compared to 2006, when it accounted for 42% of the airport operator’s total revenue.

The report also said MAHB believes commercial revenue will make up half of the group’s earnings by 2010.
