Coach opens Chicago flagship store

Luxury leathergoods brand Coach yesterday announced the opening of a new 4,200sq ft (390sq m) store in the heart of Chicago's North Michigan Avenue tourist district at East Ontario Street. The company said its decision to open the new flagship store is a significant step in Coach's strategic expansion.


Coach retail president Dave DeMattei commented: "We are delighted to be moving forward with the opening of this important new flagship store. Over the next 12 months, Coach plans to open at least 20 new stores across the US. In addition, Coach will complete a remodelling programme of existing stores to reflect the image of the new store design. "
