Experienced inflight executive Christine Murray has formed a new UK company called Inflight Retail Services (IRS).

The company is finalising a supply agreement through Spanish retailer Aldeasa to help service other airline supply and concession contracts in the future. IRS will acquire and develop new contracts and thereafter manage operations, logistics, and marketing support on behalf of clients. The company will select product ranges, together with its future airline customers, for Aldeasa to source and supply.

Murray said: "The message within the mission statement of the new venture is to treat all airline clients, suppliers, passengers and ancillary service partners as equal customers, both external and internal.

"We think that will be a first, based on the present relationship climate between operators and suppliers in this sector."
