The first ever China Airport Retail Expo will take place in Shanghai in November

The China Civil Airport Association has announced it will host a new airport retail event this year. The China Airport Retail Expo will take place at the ShanghaiMart Exhibition Centre in Shanghai on November 26-29 and combines the China Airport Retail Summit, which happened in 2007, with four days of exhibition featuring companies such as Nuance-Watson, Swarovski, Samsonite and Swatch among the 80 exhibitors. China’s top three landlords—Beijing Capital International, Shanghai Pudong International and Gangzhou International airports—will also be represented at the event.

Organiser GIS Events said the exhibition aims to help local decision-makers to expand their understanding of travel-retail through the experience of international brands and concessionaires. With 96 airports and a growing number of air travellers, China has great potential for the industry.
