Chau joins Tasa Meng

Former EverRich executive Gary Chau began a new role at its rival Taipei Chiang Kai-shek operator on May 1

Former EverRich Duty Free Shop executive Gary Chau has joined rival Taipei Chiang Kai-shek airport concessionaire Tasa Meng Corp as general manager, reporting to chairman Nancy Ku. Chau began work in his new role today (May 1).

In his new role Chau will be responsible for operations, planning and merchandising, along with identifying new opportunities for Tasa Meng's future expansion in duty-free and domestic markets. Tasa Meng was recently awarded a 12-year extension to its contract at Chiang Kai-shek terminal two, and the company also holds a number of licences to distribute international brands on the Taiwanese domestic market.

Chau said: "I am very happy to have the chance to make the best use of my past experience to help the company in both the travel-retail and domestic retail businesses."
