Pinault Printemps Redoute has confirmed that Roos is leaving Yves Saint Laurent to take up a new post in the Gucci Group

YSL Beauté president and CEO Chantal Roos is moving to a new role in the Gucci Group as strategic advisor for the fragrances and cosmetics sector. Her successor at YSL is Andrea Barbier, formerly general manager of the L’Oréal Latin American division Produits Grand Public.

Both Roos and Barbier will report directly to Gucci Group president and CEO Robert Polet. The new appointments are effective from May 2.

In her new position, Roos will be responsible for giving strategic advice on the development opportunities for Gucci Group and its brands in the worldwide fragrances and cosmetics market.

Polet said: “Chantal has transformed YSL Beauté and returned it to profitability and growth. She leaves a healthy and vibrant business for Andrea to inherit. We look forward to continuing to benefit from Chantal’s knowledge and expertise as she takes up her new role with Gucci Group.”
