Changi reports record traffic for 2002

Singapore Changi airport handled 29m passengers in 2002, up 3.2% on 2001 and surpassing the previous record of 28.6m set in 2000

Changi has been the world's second strongest duty-free location for the past two years, with 2001 sales of over $359m. The airport currently handles 63 airlines operating more than 3,400 weekly scheduled flights on 141 routes.
