Customers can also enjoy various promotions around the airport and purchase products at reduced prices

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has launched a complimentary “shopping concierge” service at Singapore Changi airport to coincide with the start of the airport’s Christmas celebrations. The service, which provides dedicated staff to offer ideas and recommendations for gifts, will run until January 5 2008.

The shopping concierge counters are located within the transit malls of terminals one and two. The counters will be open from 6am to 12pm in T1 and 6am-1am in T2, with up to three staff on hand to answer passenger queries.

Passengers can also enjoy a free gift-wrapping service and Christmas carol singing performances at the airport. Customers, who spend S$60 ($41) using Visa credit cards, or S$120 ($82) by other means, will be eligible for instant prizes and the chance to win a “Travel Round the World Trip for 2” worth S$20,000 ($13,794).

CAAS director general and CEO Lim Kim Choon said: “This is part of CAAS's efforts to enhance the shopping experience of passengers at Changi. We hope passengers will find shopping a breeze at Changi Airport Shopping City with the help of our new shopping concierge staff, and take full advantage of the great buys being offered during this Christmas shopping promotion period.”
