Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has awarded brand name concessions to Chomel and Urban Concepts
Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has awarded three new retail concessions at Singapore Changi airport. Urban Concepts won a 21sq m (226sq ft) brand name concession at terminal two departure/check-in hall north, level two after offering an additional rental of either 10% of total monthly gross sales (tmgs) or a minimum monthly guarantee (mmg) of S$3,100 ($2,277), whichever is higher. The company beat competition from Newry for the concession and will operate the store for three years from November 1.
As previously reported on DFNIonline, DFS Venture Singapore won the tender to operate a 98sq m (1,054sq ft) wine concession at T2’s departure/transit lounge central as the only bidder for the contract, which will run for three years from December 1.
Jewellery retailer Chomel was awarded a speciality concession at T1’s departure/transit lounge west. The 79sq m (850sq ft) shop attracted interest from five other bidders, including Giordano Originals, Newry and Luxury Ventures. Chomel offered an additional rent of either 20% of tmgs or an mmg of S$30,000 ($22,033), whichever is higher. The contract runs for three years from October 11.
