Changi awards three T2 concessions

Active World, Chomel and Mini Toons have won concessions at Singapore Changi airport terminal two
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has awarded three new concessions at Singapore Changi airport terminal two. Active World beat competition from Bodywork Concepts and Newry to win the tender for a 55sq m (592sq ft) brand name concession at T2’s departure/check-in hall south. The company will open a Sembonia store and offered an additional rent of either 30% of the total monthly gross sales (tmgs) or a minimum monthly guarantee (mmg) of S$4,000 ($2,940), whichever is higher. The contract runs for three years from September 1.
The second contract, comprising a 29sq m (312sq ft) brand name concession in the same area, was won by Chomel. The company offered an additional rent of the highest of either 16% of tmgs or mmg of S$8,000 ($5,880). The other four companies bidding for the store were Active World, Asian Geographic Magazines, Luxury Ventures and Newry. The concession agreement will start on September 2 and run for three years.
Finally, Mini Toons was awarded the tender for a 28sq m (301sq ft) gift shop concession at T2’s departure/check-in hall north. The company offered additional rent of either 12% of tmgds or mmg of S$4,000 ($2,940), whichever is higher. Big Box International, Newry and Urban Concepts had also submitted proposals for the contract, which runs for three years from July 1.
