Changi Airports International (CAI) has signed a deal to buy a 29% stake in Nanjing Lukou airport, according to local reports confirmed by Agence France Presse (AFP). CAI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, is reported to be paying 900m yuan ($122m) for the shares.

CAI CEO Chow Kok Fong said at the signing of an initial agreement last January that the deal represents the first private equity investment by a foreign airport in a Chinese airport.
