Centre terminal boost for Nuance at Zurich
The retailer strengthens its dominant position at Zurich International airport with 20 outlets in the new area
The Nuance Group is to add 20 stores to its Zurich airport business when the new airside centre terminal opens in mid-September.
The concession includes four duty-free shops with two adjacent branded boutiques for Davidoff cigars and La Prairie cosmetics totalling 1,294sq m (13,923sq ft). This offer is complemented by 16 specialist boutiques totalling 1,550sq m (16,678sq ft), which will feature Nuance concept stores for fashion and accessories, watches and jewellery and confectionery. The group will also feature a Kiosk news concept after agreeing a franchise with Valora Group.
The contract will take Nuance's Zurich portfolio to 36 outlets in 2004. The expansion at Zurich airport follows last year's opening of Dock E midfield terminal where Nuance operates two duty-free shops, a Cocoon Fashion & Accessories store, a Spirit of Switzerland destination shop and two retail islands selling fashion watches and fashion jewellery.
?Over the past couple of years, the airport has expanded its retail offer in an impressive way,? said The Nuance Group ceo Europe Carlo Bernasconi. ?We are proud to further strengthen our position as the leading retailer at Zurich airport though these newly-awarded concessions.?
