Cathay and Inflight Sales Group link up for flight attendant fair
Over 2,000 Cathay Pacific flight attendants took part in Asia's first flight attendant duty-free product fair, held at Cathay Pacific City, Hong Kong, last month. It was organised by the airline and its supply company Inflight Sales Group (ISG).
The participating vendors, from the fragrance, cosmetics, gifts and accessories industries included: Christian Dior, Estée Lauder, Clinique, Scental, Chanel, Montblanc, Misaki, Scorpio Trading, Tick Tack, Goldkenn, Godiva, Ashmore Chocolates and Toblerone.
"This event was very well-received by the flight attendants and
the vendors", said Cathay Pacific inflight sales and amenities
manager Anna Cheung.
"It was a unique opportunity for the flight attendants to
familiarise themselves with the products sold on board. At the same
time it gave a perfect chance for the vendors to give selling and
training tips to the flight crew."
ISG director of vendor relations Jennifer Yap added: "For the flight attendants it was a fun and exciting way to touch and feel the products they sell in a relaxed environment. The vendors and flight attendants were very pleased with the product fair." The fair featured display booths from each of the vendors plus samples and training materials for the cabin crew.
