Catch the early bird for Macau Travel Partnership event

21-Nov-2006

Time is running out to catch the November 24 early bird discount for the first ever Asia Pacific Travel Partnership Symposium

Companies registering three delegates will receive a fourth registration free of charge.

The highly-anticipated event is to be held in partnership with the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) on January 24–26 in Macau at the new signature resort by Steve Wynn.

A unique speaker line-up of decision-makers from the travel-retail and travel and tourism industries in Asia/Pacific has already attracted firm support from sponsors and delegates alike, including DFS Group (premier) Diageo, Hugo Boss (gold), Pilgrim, Swiss Travel Products and Solar Style (co-sponsors). And the exciting social programme, including the Hugo Boss-sponsored grand prix-style karting evening, will provide a focal point for networking in a fun and relaxed environment.

The latest speaker to confirm his participation in the interactive panel session “Optimising the Travelling Consumer Experience: The Olympics Effect”, is Yao Wang, the director of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), a non-profit-making international organisation that acts as an economic and development forum for Asia’s leaders in government, business and academia.

The event will focus on how travel retailers and related travel service providers can increase sales by sharing information and working together. This unique event is the first to bring together senior executives from the travel-retail and wider travel and tourism industries.

Delegates will gain an enhanced understanding of how travel service providers—including hotels, travel retailers, airports, airlines, tour operators, tourism bureaus and travel agents—can drive profits through partnership. Panellists and speakers confirmed to date include:

  • Asia/Pacific’s number one online travel company, Travelocity-owned Zuji, CEO Scott Blume;
  • China Duty Free Group director travel-retail/assistant general manager Charles Chen;
  • Accor Hotels Group CEO Greater China and senior vice-president Asia/Pacific Brian Deeson;
  • Macau Government Tourist Office director Joao Manuel Costa Autunes;
  • Alpha Asia managing director Paul Topping;
  • King Power Group (Hong Kong) managing director travel-retail and duty-free Sunil Tuli;
  • Macy’s West director visitor services Rosemary Nightingale;
  • Asian Trails managing director Luzi Matzig;
  • Diageo managing director global duty-free Ron Anderson;

  • Asiawide Hospitality Solutions managing partner Kevin Murphy;
  • Horizon Research Corp president and CEO Dr Ian Cesa;
  • URS Corp senior principal airports & infrastructure finance & economics Ivo Favotto;
  • The Travel Business Partnership director Nancy Cockerell.

The Asia/Pacific symposium is the first in a series of Travel Partnership events planned by Raven Fox. Watch out for details of the European Travel Partnership Symposium, to be held on June 27–29 2007 in Barcelona, Spain.
