Today's auction for the master concession at Montevideo Carrasco airport attracted no bidders, forcing the Uruguayan government to rethink the terms of the contract before attempting to relaunch the process.

Today's auction for the master concession at Montevideo Carrasco airport attracted no bidders, forcing the Uruguayan government to rethink the terms of the contract before attempting to relaunch the process. Reacting to the failure to attract any bidders, the government admitted it may adjust the initial payment demand of $15m stipulated in the original tender. Sources close to the deal told DFNI that $10m would be a more realistic figure.
