Caran d’Ache appoints new CEO

Favarger boss Philippe de Korodi will replace outgoing CEO Silvio Laurenti as the head of the writing instruments supplier

Writing instruments supplier Caran d’Ache has announced that CEO Silvio Laurenti (pictured left) is to be replaced by Philippe de Korodi (pictured right) in June. De Korodi has been CEO of Swiss chocolate manufacturer Favarger for three years following positions at Nestlé and Lindt. His professional background includes experiences in Asia, the US and several European countries.

Laurenti has nearly 30 years’ experience in the category and has occupied the post since October 1999.

The company said in a statement that while its focus will be on developing innovative products, “overseas expansion will remain a key priority”. Caran d’Ache is present in more than 60 countries.
