TFWA has confirmed that plans for its World Exhibition 2003, to be held over a weekend for the first time, are progressing well.
?TFWA has confirmed that plans for its World Exhibition 2003, to be held over a weekend for the first time, are progressing well. The organisers said the exhibition, opening on Thursday October 23 through to Monday October 27, was moved to accommodate two religious festivals that disrupted the calendar at Cannes' Palais des Festivals, but promised that the format of the event would be "as good as ever".
The Association has negotiated a special deal with official show hotels, entitling delegates staying the full five nights to a 50% discount on the last night. The show floor itself will be open for the usual four full days, including Saturday and Sunday. The provisional timetable is as follows:
Thursday October 23
Morning:
Sporting events (tennis, golf, rugby, pétanque,
jogging)
09.00 - 18.00: Registration
19.30: Opening Cocktail
Friday October 24
08.30 -
10.30: Conference
10.30 - 18.30: Exhibition
Saturday October 25
09.00 - 18.30: Exhibition

20.00: Le Premium Evening

09.00 - 18.00: Exhibition
The Association said further details including conference themes and venues for social and sporting events would be released soon.
