The former Aldeasa COO will join the Spanish liquor and wines supplier in January

Spanish wine and spirits producer Osborne SA has appointed Alfonso Calderón as managing director. Calderón was chief operating officer of Spanish travel retailer Aldeasa before the company's change of ownership in April this year

Osborne has undergone a process of diversification in recent years, moving away from its traditional brandy and sherry business into mineral water, table wines and foodstuffs including Iberian ham.

Calderón will take up his new post in January 2006.
