Retailer Flemingo International will manage the arrivals and departures outlets

Calcutta airport will have two new duty-free stores from December, according to local reports. Dubai-based retailer Flemingo International will manage two shops, one each in the arrival and departure lounges, which together occupy 170sq m (1,829sq ft). The outlets will offer liquor, cigarettes, chocolates, fragrances, electronic goods and local specialities and will include brands such as Gucci, Calvin Klein, Escada and Cartier.

The airport has not had a duty-free shop since the previous outlet was shut down in July after the contract with India Tourism Development Corp expired. Flemingo already operates duty-free stores at 13 Indian airports including Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore.
